How to Host the Meeting


(Detailed instructions and screenshots at bottom)

Basically, to host the weekly Zoom meeting:

    1. Install the Zoom program on your computer

    2. Sign into Zoom with the "sotogroup.dist21@gmail.com" login ID and password

    3. Start the meeting with the Meeting ID "968 6662 8604"

If you go to https://zoom.us/j/96866628604 in a web browser you should be prompted to download and install the Zoom Client (computer program) on your computer, and then see a prompt to sign in to start the meeting as the host. Otherwise, go to https://zoom.us and download and install the program.

Please allow enough time before the meeting to get all this done. If you can, try to get everything set up and start a meeting to get familiar with everything the day before.

Once in the Zoom meeting:

  1. Go to the program Settings (PC) or Preferences (Mac) and select General / "Always show meeting controls"

  2. Switch to "Gallery View" to see all attendees

  3. Click the "Participants" and "Chat" buttons at the bottom

  4. Make someone Co-Host to admit people from the Waiting Room (this is a group service position)

  5. Make someone Co-Host to share the meeting readings (this is a group service position)

  6. Make the Leader a Co-Host if they will be sharing anything onscreen

  7. Prepare to paste the Leader's selected daily reading in the Chat panel, and help the Leader share this onscreen

When the meeting is done:

  1. Click "End Meeting" and "End Meeting For All"

  2. Exit / end the Zoom program on your computer
